Free lancing, anyone?

Interesting read from Challenge: Rise of the Free Lancer, especially for those who intend to be a free lancer or to employ one.

Figure from Challenge

Some excerpts:
"... a growing pool of freelance professionals who enjoy the freedom of working for themselves. The perks include being able to dictate their own schedules and choose assignments that they are enthusiastic about."

"If the job isn’t done well, they’re not going to get their next job. So you have a workforce of people who are self-motivated and a lot more focused."

“Freelancers must be paid when they’ve done a job. Whether one considers it well done or not can be arbitrary — but there must be some sort of mechanism to protect both freelancers and employers.”

Personally, I find nothing wrong with free lancing if indeed that is what you want in life. Therefore, finding out or deciding what you want in life is important for you to make the right choices in the right direction.

If anyone wants a start in free lancing, try: https://www.freelancer.sg
(I have no affiliation with them.)
