Position: Senior/Analytical Development Chemist (2 Years Contract) Role Summary Based at GMS Jurong, Singapore, the successful candidate will report directly to the Analytical Development Lead. The Job - A strong steer in the provision of analytical and technical support to the manufacturing activities. This includes development of new methods, troubleshooting and improves existing methods to support process understanding.
- Lead the analytical transfer of knowledge/technology & methodologies for New Chemical Entities from the Research & Development groups to the GSK Jurong site; ensuring activities are carried out in accordance to the required standards and procedures.
- Interpret the existing and new analytical standards, and steer the application of the standards to the analytical activities.
- Lead & develop a team of analysts to support the analytical transfer project delivery.
· Provide support to ensure that all analysis are tested and recorded in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and regulatory requirements. To review and support release of tested materials (including raw materials and products). · Lead or participate in investigation arising from laboratory investigation, incidents and accurately assess the impact of the failure so as to make appropriate recommendations remedial actions for follow-up. · Support site audit inspection preparation and participate as an audit team member Requirements · Honours Degree in Chemistry and/or higher qualifications. The possession of a higher qualification will be an added advantage. · Competent in the application and of chromatographic, spectroscopic & other analytical techniques is essential · Experience in a quality control or method development environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry will be an advantage · A dynamic & creative team-player with strong leadership skill · Good organisational, planning and communication skills |
Position: Senior/ Laboratory Analyst (12 Months Contract)
Role Summary
Based in GMS Jurong, Singapore, the successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Analytical Chemist.
The Job
· Perform analysis of raw materials, intermediates, active pharmaceutical ingredients & in-process checks and utilities systems monitoring in accordance to approved procedures. The analyst is expected to work on shift rotations (3 shifts: 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, and 11pm – 7am).
· Ensure all samples are tested in a timely manner, according to the standard workflow & in accordance with the stipulated quality requirements to provide accurate test results for correct usage decisions.
· Ensure laboratory documents meet regulatory requirements
· Perform instrument calibration, maintenance or verification checks to ensure that all equipment are in good working order prior to use
· Maintain housekeeping standards & observe safety requirements and Good Laboratory Practice in the laboratory
Requirements
· GCE O/A Level with at least 2 years’ relevant experience OR
· Diploma In Chemical Process Technology or equivalent
· Hands-on experience of HPLC, GC, TOC, water and microbiological testing & other analytical instruments/techniques will be an advantage
· Must be able to work on 3 rotating shifts
Position: Senior/Analytical Support Officer (1 Year Contract)
Role Summary
Based at GMS Jurong Plant, Singapore, the successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Analytical Systems Lead.
The Job
· Lead or participate in laboratory equipment and computer software validation in accordance to site procedures and regulatory requirements, inclusive of writing, reviewing and approval of validation related documentations
· Ensure that analytical equipment are maintained and calibrated accurately and timely in accordance to site procedures, corporate guidelines and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain and support computer systems and laboratory equipment according to site change control and access control procedures.
· Lead and/or participate in investigations arising from laboratory equipment/incidents and propose effective CAPA to minimize recurrence.
Requirements
· At least a diploma holder with > 3 years experience in a position with analytical science application, or fresh graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree or related disciplines. Previous working experience in Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry will be an added advantage
· An inquisitive individual who will love exploring into how an equipment or software functions
· A dynamic & creative team-player with good interpersonal skill
· Good organisational, planning and communication skills, and demonstrate an ability to write a good experimental protocol/report
· No shift work is required
