Looking for graduates interested in working for Shell on a contract basis (about 2 yrs) in a technical service research lab, dealing with labwork research on polyurethane foams.

Job Scope: Lab work in research for polyurethane foams, machinery work in bigger scale of making polyurethane foams.

Preference: A guy as there are a lot of manual work in the machinery portionwork, however if the female is able to carry heavy loads and is fine with manual work, she is welcomed to send her CV too.

Requirements: Credit in Chemistry

Work Location: Tuas

 

Terms: Internship or Part time or 6 months to 1 year contract

 

Main Job Responsibilities:

1.    Establish world class qualitative and quantitative test methods for assessing the performance of adhesives in Flexible Packaging

2.    Conduct and compare different types and processing of flexible adhesives in SEA and SDC.

3.    Learn to use and be proficient on handling testing equipment in the laboratory such as tensile tester, pH meter, foam generator, K coater, nip roller etc

4.    Compile test results and write test report for Technical Service Manager’s review before it is being presented to the customers

5.    Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety, use hazardous chemicals and dispose it safely. Constantly comply to laboratory safety rules and regulations.
