OPENING FOR A LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST
Singapore-Delft Water Alliance (SDWA) is a multi-national, interdisciplinary research Centre of Excellence for Water Knowledge under National University of Singapore. SDWA is seeking a qualified laboratory technologist to oversee maintenance and use of chemical/biochemical analyses equipment in our new laboratory, according to high quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards.
Job Responsibilities:
(a) Maintenance and safe operation of equipment and laboratory
(b) Overseeing inventory and purchasing of laboratory consumables
(c) Writing and validation of standard operating procedures
(d) To ensure safety aspects of the laboratory in accordance with NUS policies and
(e) Performing accurate analysis of environmental samples in support of student and staff projects associated with Singapore-Delft Water Alliance
Job Requirements:
* At least a Diploma/Degree in Chemistry/Life Sciences
* Knowledge and experience in research lab operations and management
* Knowledge on safety aspects of laboratories
* Independent, resourceful and able to work in a team
Priority would be given to person with experience in operating one or more equipment such as Flow Injection Analysis (FIA), Ion Chromatography (IC) and real-time PCR.
Initial appointment will be for 1 year. Appointment renewal will depend upon performance and the availability of funds in following years.
