Laboratory Technician – P&SP
The role exists for servicing Packaging, Hygiene and Medical (H&M) and Polyethylene market. The successful candidate is expected to manage and operate the Center of Expertise for films in supporting the technical service and development engineers to conduct extrusion fabrication, to innovate and accelerate product and packaging application development, and technically qualifying Dow new designed products.
This job is will be based in Dow Singapore Development Centre in Tuas.
Job Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this job include:
Working closely with Research Scientist, Technical Services and Development (TSnD) Engineer for new application developments and generate next generation product or application for the industry.
Upkeep the Center of Expertise (CoE) consistently to support TSnD & customers, and to innovate and accelerate 'product and application' development
Maintain the CoE at top class quality which will allow Dow and customers to validate the performance of new development and application of the resins more quickly under real-world conditions.
Connect closely with Dow's global Research and Development (R&D) resources; ensure the CoE to meet ISO and ASTM standard.
Job Qualifications
A diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic, Material Science or Related Sciences.
Competent in communicating in English.
Exceptional English written, verbal and presentation skills.
Familiarity with computer software (example: Microsoft Excel etc.).
Has good interpersonal when communicating and collaborating with TSnD engineers and technologists.
