Description

Well before water comes out of your tap, it has to go through a laborious process to transform raw water into safe drinking water. This is accomplished by a water treatment plant which operates much behind the scenes.
Join water educator, Chen Ko, for an action packed one-day workshop focused on the inner workings of a water treatment plant (WTP) aka waterworks. Chen Ko will take a look at some of the technologies and infrastructure which form the backbone of a WTP.
  1. The morning will kick off with a classroom discussion of the "standard" equipment found within a typical WTP - what they do, how they work and why they are there.
  2. Chen Ko is a firm believer of blending theory and practice so after lunch, the participants will get to visit a real life WTP operated by PUB to experience for themselves just how everything works together to effectively provide safe drinking water.
  3. The workshop will close off with a debrief of the day's activities, especially touching on the learning points for all participants.
Participants are guaranteed to walk away with a deeper understanding of what a WTP is all about and how it can fit into your professions.
