I am organising the following event with NEA.
Open to SP alumni: If anyone is interested, please sign up via the link below.
You may want to let me know as well so that I can look out for you on that day.
Hello,
When it comes to food wasted, there is more to worry about than the Chinese saying of “a pimple on your partner’s face for every grain of uneaten rice”. It also means squandering resources that go into growing and delivering food to our tables, and producing greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change.
This workshop is part of NEA’s youth capacity building programme, and we warmly invite budding environmentalists to learn and discuss how we can promote food waste reduction in Singapore. |
Part 1 – Food Waste Reduction Knowledge Module
Hear from 3P (People, Private, Public) stakeholders about how their organisations are reducing, redistributing, and recycling food waste; and how you can do your part.
|
Part 2 – Environmental Communication Module
“There are so many shocking facts and figures about the state of our environment. Why is nobody doing anything about it?!”
Communication academics from NTU and SP will share about the nuances of environmental advocacy and how we can harness the power of words and media.
|
Date: 25th February, Saturday Time: 9am – 2pm Venue: LT12B, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Level 1 Singapore Polytechnic 500 Dover Road, Singapore 139651
RSVP your attendance using this Google form! Please indicate your attendance for Parts 1, 2 and Lunch segments. By doing so, we can order enough and reduce food waste.
